It all started back in August 2014 when I heard a little white cat crying mournfully outside my house early one morning.  He was hungry and covered in oil and dirt.  I soon realized that he was deaf and that was one of the reasons his cry was so loud.  Our town had no shelter...so I decided to start a Facebook page to try to find a home for him.  Three and a half years later, "The Pas Cats & Kittens" has grown into a non-profit shelter and rescue (using one half of my garage) and has over 1200 Facebook followers. The shelter has five spacious kennels but has accommodated up to 10 cats because some have become free-range.  Since starting, we have adopted out almost 130 cats....and all have (or will be) spayed or neutered!  We run the shelter solely from donations, fundraising and money collected from adoption fees.

 Btw, Misha, the little white cat that was crying, scared and alone outside, is now a member of my family and I call him the co-founder of TPCK!
